I was asked to drop by and leave my reflections here. (FIRST!!! ><)
Well, i think today we did not really do our best.
and my solo sucks.
We are not following Mr. Yeo AGAIN.
At first i thought that our band was quite okay today.
Cause we sat with our sections and such.
But once after break, some changed their place.
I was kind of disappointed.
I heard from some people in our band that, there are parts where some of their seniors do not have enough air to continue, they will just skip one note or just break the tie.
And it was so obvious that juniors could tell.
Footdrills are there to help us to improve our stamina, it make our breath longer.
But why do we have not enough breath to continue?
This meant that we aren't serious in our drills.

Have you ever look around the musicroom, and take a look at the posters?
There is one like this ,"Don't Quit. Something miracle might happen."
The are times where i wanted to quit band. yea, times.
But there are times where miracles happen, such as the bond we had overseas, camps..
It made me stayed in band.
This also applies to music.
If we quit improving our music, miracles will not happen.
The chances of getting a gold is LOW.
Let us just imagine, all of us are working freaking hard, even recess we go to band.
Of course the chances of getting gold is like more than now.
I don't really meant it, but at least bring home your instrument sometimes.
I do bring home every saturday recently.

We should be grateful that we could go overseas.
And we all should show to the school that it's because we worked real hard, going overseas is a reward for all of us.
You see, guzheng, malay dance.. etc.. Do they go overseas?
And most of them are jealous of us.
But we must show them that this is what hard work pays off. (is this sentence right???)
If our SYF this year, we didn't do well, I guess the trip to japan would be so pointless.
What for going to japan when you couldn't improve ur music after thousands of reminders?
My sister is jealous that we could go overseas almost every year.
Their band got gold and silver for 2006 & 2008 (if not wrong.)
Yet they had never went overseas.
Lets us buck up, and prove to them that we worth it.

I suggest that, when you bring home your instrument,
bring it to the playground and play to the kids. (This what my neighbour had done.)
Well, at least it improves your confidence in playing infront of people.
Although i had not tried it yet. Because i think the kids would fall asleep listening to a bass clarinet plays. ^^
But i think this would be useful for trumpets, trombones & HORNS!
As for my method, I play at the balcony with the door closed, at night around 9...
I think i woke alot people up, but i could tell people are listening to my music sometimes ^^
Cause some looked up when they were passing by my block haha.
And it was very fun to do it. (:
But i think don't do it around 9. Around 7 will be best.
Because everyone came back from work, tiring. ><
They will feel so happy to listen to band musics.

Lets all buck up together and improve within 18days!
Well, it will be better if we improves ASAP. ^^
Don't let your seniors and alumni disappointed!
Bring back Dunearn our glory days!! (:
oops, i'm sorry that my post is long, and some english mistake...(I failed my english.)
Hope you guys would heed "part" of my advices.
And i will heed yours. (:
Oh ya, Stop making the majors angry. Or you, me and ALL OF US will suffer (:
And the majors are already having a bad time. So yea, listen to them more .
And listen to Mr. Yeo. He, too, is having a hard time.
If he everytime scold us, he will lost his voice again.
So, haha, be more guai leh (:

Erm, Adding on.. i think we should bring up our instruments at same time..
and make some patterns (:
For bonding the band, i had some ideas. But i think if i continue to post, everyone will kill me. It's too long !!! hahaha.
Oh and i think Nicholas is making an effort to come band even though he is late. Quite a good thing. Cause if it was me in the past, i would not go band if i was late. But it will be good if he wouldn't be late on important days ^^

Signing off,
Xiaohui. (:
19032009 muahaha. 1st time leave footprints in DMB blog, must remember ^^
