Hi band
I'm very sure most of you are feeling that today's prac
was not good
So pls band, learn from your mistakes, coz it is stupid to repeat mistakes
over and over again.
For those of you who don't know, Mr Yeo has changed
the tempo of Pecos Pueblo's 3/4 part to crochet=166 instead of 160
Remember that the success of a band starts from You.
You have to make the effort to practice the rhythm, notes, know
the key signature, accidentals, articulation, etc. as an individual
Without knowing them, you will be wasting time during sectionals
and combine. Sectionals is for the section to get together to work out balance, togetherness and intonation rather than practicing what you shoud have already done as an individual.
Combine is for the whole band to put together what we have practiced as an individual and as a section. It is not a time for Mr Yeo to work out rhythm,
remind you about key signature or accidentals. It wastes his time, your time and the whole band's time. So please, make an effort to at least read your music at home, during your free time, whenever you can. Section leaders, pls make sure every section member can play his/her part with correct rhythm, notes and articulation. Make each sectionals a productive one so that in turn, combines are more productive than repeating the same thing over and over again, which is wasting time. With that said, remember, it starts from the individual.

For the exchange this saturday, if I'm not mistaken, the following schools will be there:

Yuying Secondary School (host school)
Dunearn Secondary School
Kranji Secondary School
Mayflower Secondary School
St. Anthony's Canossian Secondary School
Geylang Methodist Girls School
North Vista Secondary School
Pasir Ris Secondary School
Bedok View Secondary School
Anderson Secondary School

Please fall-in at 8:30 am
Attire: Black band tee with school skirt for girls or long pants/shorts for guys. No PE shorts. No other attire

There will be practice in the morning. There will be a break before we leave to have your meal (breakfast/lunch/brunch) whatever u wanna call it. Bus will leave at 11:50a.m. There will be no lunch provided at the exchange so pls eat during the break, there will probably be only some refreshments. So band, pls do your best, put up a gd show during the exchange. I'm sure you want other bands to praise you. Also, since there are so many bands there, learn from their gd points and don't learn their bad points. Pls don't critcise anybody or any band there coz it creates a very bad impression about us. Pls revise your scores tmr so that you can be more prepared for the prac in the morning and the exchange itself. Pls remember to look at Mr Yeo's conducting. Cya all! :]
