Yo band!!!
I hope everybody is going through their exams smoothly
I have news for everyone...to some it is gd to some it is bad...u decide
Our flight timing has been changed: We r leaving Singapore at 9:10am on 4th December instead of 8:15am and our flight back to Singapore will arrive at changi at 10:20pm on 8th December.
For reference, our flight numbers are CX690 n CX691
Whether we r still staying overnite at school I'm still unsure...but at the moment, yes we r staying overnite
Some gd news for all: band prac starts on the week after exams!!

Which day exactly I'm not sure but Mr Beh will give out the consent forms soon
I hope u ppl r studying real hard but again, don't forget to practice!!!

Hello band
I hope you guys are studying real hard...coz u shud be
anyway juz to inform those who haven't submited ur passport photocopies..
pls hand it in to mr beh ASAP
Oh n those with any special meal requirements like no beef etc...pls inform mr beh as well
For the muslims, we have noted down already so unless u can't eat anything else...there is no need for u to find mr beh
Study hard for your exams but don't forget to practice your music at home...
make sure that when u come back u know the rhythm of all the pieces that we r playing
so that we can do more stuff when band prac starts again
We're 75 days away from the HK trip so work hard everyone!!!

End of Year Exam Coming

Hello!!
How's everyone??
Exams coming! so pls study hard ok??
anyway, don't forget to practice all the songs we have...
eg. Sound of Music, March Blue Sky, Cloudburst, Florentiner March, Mystery on Mena Mountain....( and other more)

Though exams are coming, pls practice too... just spend about 1-2 hr of your time in the weekends...

Dunearn Military Band has a long history dating back to 1966 when it was one of the first twenty school bands set up in Singapore.
The band started with only twelve pioneer members and has grown to a membership of 120 and is one of the oldest of all the uniformed groups in Dunearn Secondary School.
The band attained a Silver Award at the 11th Australian Music Festival in June 2000.

The band also participated in competitions like the National Band Competition in 2006, which it obtained a silver award and the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF), in which it obtained three consecutive gold wards in years 2001,2003 and 2005 and obtained a silver award in year 2007.

In December 2007, the band travelled to Genting Highlands and participated in the 21st Century International Music Fesival and attained a silver award. In July 2008, the band participated in the 1st Singapore International Band Festival and attained a bronze.

Also, the band had an opportunity to perform overseas at Hong Kong in December 2008, with the Tom Lee HK Youth NeoWinds Orchestra.

In the SYF central judging 2009,the band clinched a Silver award.

The band participated in the Singapore International Band Festival 2010 and they achieved a Silver award in return for their hard work.

In the recent SYF Central Judging, 2011, the band attained a Bronze award.

The Band is currently under the baton of Mr Louis Yeo.
