Hi band...this is a repeat of wat the majors have said during today's practice for the HK trip:

1) Passport: Those who have not submitted your photocopied passport, pls rmb to submit the photocopy of the passport photo page only. Your passport's expiry date CANNOT be earlier than 1st June 2009. If it is, pls get your passport renewed or make a new passport. I suggest those who have passport pictures that doesn't really look like you now (e.g, when the photo was taken when you were v young), pls get a new passport. Those who are making new passports, renewing their passports or changing the passport photo, pls photocopy your current passport and submit it latest by tmr, also pls ask your parents to sign the part where it says you have attached a photocopy of your passport. Once you have your updated passport, pls photocopy the photo page and submit it to the majors ASAP. Rmb...passport photocopies to be handed in latest by tommorow, Friday, 1st August 2008.

2) Edusave forms and cash/cheque: Edusave forms must be submitted by Tommorow. Those who have insufficient amounts in your Edusave and you are paying by cash/cheque in FULL, you need not sign your Edusave forms but pls submit it to the majors stating that you are paying the S$274 by cash/cheque in full. Those who have insufficient amounts in your Edusave and are paying part of the S$274 by Edusave, you can only pay the rest by CASH. PLS do not pay the remainder by cheque. Sign your Edusave forms and submit it to the majors stating that you are paying part by Edusave and the remainder by cash. Rmb...submission deadline is Tommorow.

Yup thats all...pls work hard for the trip...rmb...we r putting up a concert, performing at Disneyland and exchanging with a band. 111 days to the trip. Have a nice day :)

Hi everyone!!!! Jasper here...this post is about the Hong Kong trip...Pls submit the following things on THURSDAY (31 July 2008):
1) The signed consent forms
2) Your Edusave form. Please get it signed even if you have insufficient money in your account. The school will try to deduct as much as they can and you pay the rest in cash or cheque. (Pls attach this to the consent forms)
3) Your cash or cheque if you are paying the full S$274. For those who are doing so, pls state on your Edusave form that you are paying by cash/cheque (Pls submit this SEPARATELY)
4) A photocopy of your passport photograph page. (Pls attach this to the consent forms and Edusave form)

Yup pls remember to bring these things on thursday...Sec4s n 5s who are going for the trip as well pls do try n come down on Thursday to submit the items above. HK trip countdown: 113 days. O n those who have received the new scores like March Blue Sky, Cloudburst, etc., pls rmb to bring on thursday. Yup thats all...have a nice day! =)

NDP NEXT!!

hello!!!
YAY!! SIBF IS OVER!!
we got bronze, 76.29! ( Visit http://sgbandfusion.com/index.php?page=61 for result)
we should be proud what we get, it is a medal that everyone achieved after the hours that everyone had spent for this competition.
However! Lets not be complacent...
Lets work even harder together for the Hong Trip, ok?
Do Not Give Up! Its not the end...
we still have NDP, Dunearnite and Hong Trip to look forward to!
We will stand strong if everyone in the band stay together and united!
WE CAN DO IT!! LETS PRODUCE EVEN BETTER MUSIC,OK?

anyway, pls hand in your consent forms back by next Thursday to any of the majors.

HELLO PEOPLE! :D
there will be a Sembawang Wind Orchestra Concert.
Date: 20th July 2008, next sunday.
Highlights : guest conductor from Australia :):):):)
Repertoire : Force of destiny, 1812 Overture, Concerto for Brass sextet and band etc.

pspspspspspsps: highly recommended for brass players! to hear what brass instruments can actually play.

tickets at 20 bucks, those who want to go, please look for JUEYING! :]

Dunearn Military Band has a long history dating back to 1966 when it was one of the first twenty school bands set up in Singapore.
The band started with only twelve pioneer members and has grown to a membership of 120 and is one of the oldest of all the uniformed groups in Dunearn Secondary School.
The band attained a Silver Award at the 11th Australian Music Festival in June 2000.

The band also participated in competitions like the National Band Competition in 2006, which it obtained a silver award and the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF), in which it obtained three consecutive gold wards in years 2001,2003 and 2005 and obtained a silver award in year 2007.

In December 2007, the band travelled to Genting Highlands and participated in the 21st Century International Music Fesival and attained a silver award. In July 2008, the band participated in the 1st Singapore International Band Festival and attained a bronze.

Also, the band had an opportunity to perform overseas at Hong Kong in December 2008, with the Tom Lee HK Youth NeoWinds Orchestra.

In the SYF central judging 2009,the band clinched a Silver award.

The band participated in the Singapore International Band Festival 2010 and they achieved a Silver award in return for their hard work.

In the recent SYF Central Judging, 2011, the band attained a Bronze award.

The Band is currently under the baton of Mr Louis Yeo.
