Band, wake up your idea already.

Sectionals for you guys is not for you all to play the NOTES you all already KNOW. Furthermore, what on earth are you susposed to be working at you tell us?
The passion, i repeat again, is not just about HAVING It, you CAN'T HAVE IT WITHOUT working it.

even so, how many times have you guys practice instant concert than your own weak points in moonlight and simple. Why didn't you all go into your section and tune together? That is WHAT sectionals are for. If you said you are practicing for friendship concerts, what about MUMBLE FEET? Did you DO IT.

you know, sometimes its just that talking is not working. I don't CARE if you think we treat you like robots . Cos we don't, we made it fair to everyone. Regardless whether you are a sec 1 or sec 4. BE FAIR TO YOUR MEMBERS, come for band practices. If not, you will end up pulling your members down. Those who didn't make it for the audition, what the hell are you waiting for? I don't see any effort made at all,

Wake up YOUR IDEA ALREADY seriously.
you know if things aren't working, do something. This is getting tiring.

WORK HARD even if you didn't make it for the Audition.

Especially to the Sec 1s. Please reflect on yourself.
To the sec 2s and sec 3s, even if you got in, doesn't mean you are perfect. The good ones have to train to be better , and at last the best. Those we didn't get in, do something. Don't just SIT there and let your seniors scold. Prove to them, you can do better.

Would you want to get something in Genting, its up to us. Our band directors can't do anything, they are here only to teach us, and make music. The hard work, discipline is all up to us.

WAKE UP, and shut up all your complains.

band, if u think punishments are given unjustly, think again. Its about the band, not yourself. Take a look at the other band members around u. I know many of u guys still think that, "but hello? it's not me? Its them". But for the millionth time, its about the band, not about only yourself. Band, u all need that. Those who are working hard now, continue to endure with the punishments. those who are not, stop putting your friends in misery. Know the meaning of punishments. what you're supposed to feel when you're being punished.

Hi Band. These are the Recent Announcements.

1) Practice your instrument.
Why?
- To achieve something during Genting Trip
- There will be a 'test' on Saturday whereby the Majors will check one by one
- Audition for Genting Trip starts next week when Mr Yeo comes back from HK
- To play well

Most importantly, you are a band member, so you need to practice.

2) Higher Woodwinds
Report to school this Friday by 945AM . Bring along your consent forms
Why?
- The woodwinds' running notes are way too messy
- We need to play as one whole woodwind section
- Try to sound like a 'wind'
- Tune together
- Play with metronome!

If you cannot make it, please either Call or Message Christine.

3) Reflect on yourself
Why?
- Have you been practicing hard enough?
- Do you know your music well enough?
- Are you making at least an effort to prove others you are right?

4) Brass/Lower woodwinds
If you think you need more practices for your own brass/lower woodwinds section, come and look for either Christine or Huldah with a date, time and reason being.
Why?
- Play as one brass/lower woodwinds section
- Intonation
- Articulation
- Long tones
- Tuning

Ps: For the Trumpets section, please find initiative to look for the Flutes and Oboes section to practice Moonlight Kungfu together.

Dear Band, Once again. I hope all of you will at least make an effort. Don't try, you must.
Set a goal for yourself, it'll be good. Do it, at least for yourself. Would you want to be in the band now, or a band that it united? The choice is yours.

hey people.
the genting trip is not donkey years away, it's just about 10 practices(more or less) away. i think many of us have seen the trip only for the fun. But guess wad, if u dont work hard, the fun will be limited. So work hard and play well, get exposed, do long tones, everything and anything that will help u to play better. Dear band, we really want passionate people, and u
dont get the passion by just sitting around. You work for it, and then u find it. So stop finding out how to love band, because the answer is to work, and u will love everything about it. Even during the most tiring footdrills, u will want to endure because you've found something u love. I know it sounds very very dramatic, like a love story. But when all of us really work hard and have the passion for band(music), u will not regret a single second. Do u really wanna spend your 4 years in band dreading every single second of it, or enjoying every second?
